Yesterday officially began my journey to Mount Airy... I have a 1987 Avion that was in need of a serious bath! I suppose I should have taken before and after pics...I guess I can get my son to take a pic of the roof. It's been sitting under the trees for 6 years but it cleaned up right pertty (yes I meant to spell it that way)
Finally remembered to set the alarm for 8pm so I could watch the Live podcast of Two Chairs No Waiting with Allan "Floyd" Newsome. I will have to say next time I will type slower and hit my spacebar harder so my words don't stick together. He finally was able to read it though. The chat room was going simultaneously and I don't know how, they must be used to texting. They are so knowledgeable about who all the characters are and even what episodes they were in and by golly they even talk like them.! I guess I shall have to aspire to learn everything I can so one day someone might include me in with the whole bunch of 'em. okay i'm trying Ü
Getting back to the Avion... now I start on the inside. Funny thing about a travel trailer, when your not using it it makes a convenient storage container. Only problem about that is you gotta move all those things somewhere else. I best get started.....
Head over to www.imayberry.com and see all the exciting stuff that is going on!

I Had No Idea
I've been watching some of the Tribute Artist's video and I am amazed at the dedication that they have for TAGS. I thought I would share a one of them.

imayberry.com
I am so excited about joining imayberry.com! Everyone has been really cool and I can't wait to get to know them. The information is phenomenal. I've found out there are episodes I have missed! I'm guessing that will be my first assignment!
It's amazing the loyalty and knowledge that everyone has about The Andy Griffith Show. There really is more than the love of the show. I believe it's a longing in some ways to get back to the simple life that was back in the day. No one locked their doors, everyone sat down to a real cooked meal and talked about how their day went. Just about everyone could walk to church on Sunday and they did rest on that day. I love the episode where Barney and Andy are sitting on the porch after Church and Barney asked Andy if he wanted to walk down and get a pop.
Maybe we can use all that we know and love about Mayberry as a lesson for how we can try to live like that today. So... yes we now have to lock our doors, but, we can drive right past the fast food places, go home and have a real cooked meal and spend the rest of the day with family and friends and when it came time for the pop we can take a walk to the fridge and pretend it came from the pop machine.

Welcome to Living in Mayberry
Who wouldn't Love the thought of being able to rewind time to live in Mayberry? I know I would and that is why I will be retiring in Mount. Airy, NC. I have visited their a few times and went to a Mayberry Days a few years ago. I lived in TN for a couple of years and that is where I fell in love with the mountains. The nice thing about Mt. Airy is it is a stones throw from the Blue Ridge so I figure I am getting the best of both worlds. And now I can drive on the narrow roads and heights of the mountains since I graduated at Clinch Mountain (university Ü) which was 5000ft with switchbacks. One who has always had a fear of heights I fill pretty good about myself. (I will not however ride the Blue Ridge Parkway) yet...
So... I'd love to invite you to be a part of Living in Mayberry Blog. I know there are many out there so I am taking baby steps with mine. I plan on each day being an adventure...
